Bore Runner – Alexandria Station

The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCO) is a leader in Australia’s cattle industry, with stations in Queensland and the Northern Territory along with a feedlot on the Darling Downs. We are now seeking a full time Station Mechanic to join the NAPCO team at Alexandria Station NT. Alexandria is located in the Barkly region of in the Northern Territory. This area is the heart of northern Australia’s Mitchell Grass lands with rolling plains interspersed with red gravelly ridges, Bluebush swamps and the heads of the Gregory and Georgina River systems. Alexandria is NAPCO’s largest and oldest property, acquired in 1877. The Bore Runner/Pumper position involves starting bore motors to ensure all turkey's nests (above ground dams) are kept full at all times, checking troughs on each bore run, cleaning troughs regularly, maintaining fences and servicing motors, and helping out with other similar duties around the Station.Manual License is essential. On the job training - Some mechanical experience is preferredFulltime, permanent position to start now. Single accommodation.
